I know it has been almost a week....I will try to update you all with what is going on.
Last week of work was horrid...honestly anything that could have gone wrong more than likely did. It was worth it though to know I had 3 days off and having those 3 days land on apple blossom.
I took Victoria to the park in Kentville to see the fireworks...they weren't bad but honestly I am not sure the 10 minutes of fireworks was worth being stuck in traffic for 30 minutes. Saturday was busy. Victoria was in the children's parade with her ballet class. We met her dad and I got to spend most of the morning with him...Oh good one on one time with my ex...oh well....anyways Victoria had a wonderful time however I froze. I was cold and it was cloudy and looked like rain. It held off thank goodness. I ran into my friend Shannon and we decided we were going to go out that night. By the time Victoria and I got through traffic and got home it was time to head back for the grand street parade. The rain held off...until the parade actually started! Then it poured. Victoria had an umbrella so she was content to stay for quite a while. I got soaked to the skin. I was cold, wet and cranky. When I finally convinced her that she was bored and wanted to go home other people had gotten the same idea. I was forced to wait while some redneck figured out how to back his pickup truck out of the side road without putting the ancient trailer he was haling in the ditch or into a telephone pole. By the time I got home I was feeling ill I was so cold. I got into a nice hot shower and started to feel a lot better.
To kill time until going out with my firends, I opened my email to find a lovely letter from my ex all about his five year plan, his move, kids and how wonderful his significant other was. Honestly what a wanker! Did I want my nose rubbed in it?...no not really...will I survive? sure....will I forget? NOT ON YOUR LIFE! Will I forgive? Doubtful and defiantly will not forgive the insults on my daughter EVER! So what was my solution...do nothing. Yup that's right folks. I took the high road. I didn't write back. I haven't talked, sent a message on msn, text or called the aforementioned jerk. I hit delete....and that was the end of that.
Victoria was in bed early. I showered again and got all fixed up and when Shannon called I headed over to her friend Tammy's for a couple drinks before we went out on the town. Now seeing how it was raining cats and dogs we figured it would be no problem to get into KAPS. Wow were we wrong. Shannon, and the other people I went with stood in the rain for over an hour. Again I was soaked to the skin and cranky. I was stuck in line between some guy who kept grabbing my butt and some guy standing in the rain with his cell phone telling me I was crazy to be standing in the rain. HELLO CAPTIN OBVIOUS....you are standing in the rain too....but not in the line...so you are just getting wet and not getting into the club...yeah that's smart...dummy. It was worth it to get in, dance and drink. We had a ball and ended up staying past last call even though we didn't plan on staying that late.
Sunday was ballet day...rehearsals for both of us all day...ugh. Three words sum this day up....long, tiring and frustrating. I was glad to see Sunday done...however by about suppertime the nervousness set in. I realized that in a little over 12 hours I was having my performance appraisal at work. I felt sick most of the night and couldn't sleep. The appraisal wasn't as bad as I thought. I feel I could have done better but I always feel that way.I ended up having today off since my schedule got messed around...not sure why...not sure I really want to know why. I went to the city and did some retail therapy. I got Victoria a cute pair of shoes...I will post a picture once I find my camera (it really was a long weekend lol).Today was the last day for ballet....not sure either Victoria or myself will do any ballet this summer...may take a few months off.
Anyways that should bring you all up to date....Alot has happened...*Sigh...back to work tomorrow.
