Dance Recital

Victoria was asked to dance (as a special guest) with the pre primary class at the end of year dance recital. She was Mary from "Mary had a little lamb" and all the younger kids were her little lambs. It was so cute!!

I seem to be dealing with an overabundance of all 3 at the minute.

Anyone want to clean the new place, pack everything, move everything, unpack everything, put everything away, clean (again) and buy/unpack groceries for me??

Only I would get stuck working DAYS on the day the time goes ahead....5am is early enough on its own thank you very much. ICK...next year I am taking a vacation day....

Some Vacation Pictures

Starting to think I shold NEVER fly again!

I should have known winter flying and I just don't get along. Back in December we went to the UK to visit my husbands family for part of the holidays. When we came home we had to connect through Montreal. To make a long story short there was a HUGE storm here in Nova Scotia so ALL the flights from Montreal to Halifax were cancelled. We were stuck in Montreal for two freaking days!!! Last weekend we flew home from Barbados via Toronto. There was a messy storm in Toronto and a different storm system with high winds affecting Halifax. We were over an hour and forty minutes late leaving Barbados. We made up time in the air and landed only 15 minutes late. The bad thing was there was no gate open for us to deplane! We were stuck on the aircraft, sitting on the runway for over an hour! After getting updates every 15 minutes for about 45 minutes Victoria looks and me and says " Mommy does he think we are dumb? Even I know it has been longer than 15 minutes!". Leave it to my seven year old! Once we got off the plane it took over 2 hours for the ground crew to get our bags off the plane and to us! By this point it was after midnight and there were no more flights leaving Toronto that night! Just freaking great. We waited 4 hours in line to get re-booked and to get a hotel room. We couldn't get a flight out until the next night at 10pm! Honestly we have no luck! We spent a few hours at the hotel before we had to check out and then hang around the airport just waiting...it was horrible. Our flight was delayed an hour but at least we made it home. Honest to goodness I don't think I am supposed to fly!!

when I have a million things to do for Christmas AND I am on nights....we have a heavy snow fall warning????

Winter Has Arrived

Welcome to my winter wonderland!

This one was taken after we shovelled.

I had to take a shovel and knock the snow off the tree to get it out of the driveway so I could go to work!

I think it is time to think about heading to Barbados for the winter!

I Can't Believe.....

There are only 2 pay days until Christmas!!! I have a LOT left to do!!!

I'm Back!!!

Somehow I have managed to miss posting for over a month!! SORRY!!!

So what has been going on with us??? I'll try and keep this short:

1. Ashley was home the end of October (as you can tell from the Halloween pictures). It went way to fast as always. Victoria was spoiled rotten and is now looking for a drive to school every morning. Thanks for that dear lol.

2. My laptop died! Yes that is the main reason I haven't been on here. My husband was trying to use it then it stopped working. I blame him. It needed to be reformatted and it seems to be okay now. A minor in convenience but at least it's over.

3. I had my birthday...that's enough about that.


Well there is more I am sure but at the moment nothing is coming to mind...I will update you all soon.

Victoria and I spent the afternoon outside the other day (before it got super cold) and made some fall friends for our yard.

Men at Work! Well Sort of...

My driveway is fixed!!! YAY!!!!!

Since I am totally stupid when it comes to how they do these things, I chose to take pictures to show you all so you can figure out what then did LOL.

So I'm no expert but that culvert doesn't look healthy does it???

If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all!!

Anyone remember last year when I said the culvert at the end of my driveway didn't look healthy? Do you also remember how the Department of Highways said there was nothing wrong with it??

Well this morning it rusted completely through! The gravel we paid to have put over the driveway is now in the ditch and there is a rather large hole at the end of the driveway! The department of highways was contacted this morning and they told us there would be a new culvert here by lunch time. Well it IS technically here...however sitting on the front lawn was not exactly what I had in mind!

I have since been told that the men will be back this afternoon to take out the rusted piece of junk and put in the new plastic one. Weather permitting of course.

I will keep you updated on the process...although at this point my expectations aren't set very high.

New iPod?

My old (regular) iPod has gone to the big electronics store in the sky. It can't be fixed and I will miss it very much. I do still have my little iPod shuffle but it isn't the same.

I was looking at getting a new iPod nano. If (and it is a big if at this point) I get a new one what colour should I get??
