Pumpkin Weigh Off at Glad Gardens

Today was the Glad Gardens weigh off for the AVGVG (Annapolis Valley Giant Vegetable Growers). Harry won a first place ribbon, Victoria one second place for her squash and Harry won 5th for his pumpkin! I am so proud! YAY!!!

Harry is in the Newspaper!

I am so proud of Harry. He was with my dad when a man from the newspaper came up to interview him about his giant pumpkins. Tomorrow's edition of the Kings County Advertiser has a great picture of Harry sitting on one of dads pumpkins! Page 19!

How a 10 year old plays with a box....

Twas the night before school.....

Twas the night before school started,
When all through the town,
The parents were cheering.
It was a riotous sound!
By eight, kids were washed
And tucked into bed...
When memories of homework...filled them with dread!

New pencils, new folders, new notebooks, too!
New teachers, new friends...their anxiety grew!
The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright
And shouted upstairs-...
GO TO BED-IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!


I thought this was so cute, and since tomorrow is Victoria's first day of grade 5 I thought it was appropriate!
